Project 2019 Pro helps managers create plans, allocate resources between activities, track processes, allocate budgets and analyze workflows, and distribute workloads.
With Project 2019 Pro, you can create programs based on available activities and resources. Resources can be allocated to different activities, and the program calculates the volume of work, the costs proportional to the work from each activity at the project level. Resources can be shared between projects from a common resource base. For each activity and resource, you can assign your own calendar, which determines the days and times the given resources are available. To calculate resource costs, you can specify the cost of resources. Each resource can be allocated to several activities in several projects. When resources are allocated to activities, Microsoft Project 2019 Pro calculates the cost of tasks.
The application divides the activities according to the availability of the resources specified in the calendar. Resources can be determined in unlimited quantities, so the software cannot determine how many finished products can be produced from a given amount of raw material. Additional software is needed to manage the processes of factories that produce real products.
In the Microsoft 2019 Project, it is also possible to define different levels of users who can access data to a certain extent. Access to projects and views at different levels can be defined. Objects such as calendars, views, spreadsheets, filters, and fields can be shared by all users.
